Joseph Rymsza, Partner, Head of Global Operations

Joseph Rymsza is a Director and co-CEO of Foresight Group. He has over 25 years of knowledge and experience in the management, development, implementation, and operation of processes and systems, the past five of which have been within the life sciences industry.

Prior to Foresight, Mr. Rymsza was CEO of Vettro, an enterprise mobile technology company that served the life sciences and other industries. Prior to Vettro, Mr. Rymsza was an executive director at Cysive, a publicly traded professional services firm.

Mr. Rymsza received his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering with a concentration in Computers from the University of Notre Dame.

Uwe Trinks, PhD, Partner

Dr. Uwe Trinks is a Director and an Argus and Drug Safety SME for Foresight Group.  Mr. Trinks has over 30 years of life sciences experience having served as the Executive Director and Head Research Information Management for Novartis before becoming CIO of Sentrx for ten years leading the hosting and managed services of over 25 Argus safety database instances prior to joining Foresight Group. 

Dr. Trinks earned a M.S., Major: Organic Chemistry and Natural Products Chemistry, from the Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich, Switzerland and a Ph.D. Organic Chemistry also from Federal Institute of Technology.  Dr. Trinks also completed his Postdoctoral Research in Biochemistry from Stanford University.

Axel Hagel, Partner

Axel Hagel is Director and an Argus and Drug Safety SME for Foresight Group. Mr. Hagel has over 20 years of experience in the life sciences industry, specializing in the deployment of drug safety applications in North America, Europe, and Japan.  He has unique experience and implementation skills for the Argus Safety Suite, including Argus J.

Prior to Foresight, Mr. Hagel served as a North American Practice Partner for Deloitte.  Prior to that position, Mr. Hagel was Vice President of Drug Safety at Relsys International, Inc., the developer of Argus SafetyTM before its acquisition by Oracle.

Mr. Hagel completed his Bachelor of Computer Science with High Honors at Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada.

Michael DeJong, Partner

Michael DeJong is a Director at Foresight Group, having over 20 years of broad industry experience spanning life sciences and technology. Mr. De Jong specializes in leading large scale drug safety system and process implementations, having recently been the manager of one of the larges Argus/Argus J implementations ever implemented.  Mr. De Jong is also an expert in the design and optimization of labeling and packaging processes.

Prior to Foresight, he held the position of Managing Consultant at World Class International (WCI). Mr. De Jong also worked for Accenture.

Mr. De Jong earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Aerospace Engineering at Arizona State University.He also holds an MBA from Pepperdine University.

 Wade Weinzetl, Partner, Hosting & Managed Services

Mr. Wade Weinzetl is a Partner at Foresight Group. He is the Global Head of Hosting and Managed Services for Foresight Group.  Foresight operates three high performance data centers in the United States, Switzerland and Germany and is contracted to provide hosting and managed services for over 20 instances of Argus, five instances of PV Monitor® and multiple instances of Foresight® PV Query.

Mr. Weinzetl joined Foresight Group after spending 12 years as Vice President, Safety System Technologies for Sentrx.  Over the last 12 years, Wade has been involved with, or in charge of, implementations, maintenance, management, training, customer oversight, audits, and consulting for safety systems and all related software in a hosted environment.
Jamie Portnoff Ms. Jamie Portnoff is a Vice President and Global Head of the Business Transformation Practice with 15 years of experience in Life Sciences. In the past 10 years Ms. Portnoff has delivered a broad range of business solutions to companies of all sizes with PV operations in the US, Europe, India and Japan, including multiple PV operational and organizational integrations.

Prior to Foresight, Ms. Portnoff was a Project Manager at Patni Life Sciences. She also worked within PV for Elan Pharmaceuticals and Hospira.

Ms. Portnoff received her Bachelor of Science degree in Communications Studies from Northwestern University. She is Regulatory Affairs Certified (RAC) by the Regulatory Affairs Professionals Society (RAPS).
 Fonseca Mr. Scott Fonseca is a Vice President and the Global Head of Worldwide Sales and has over 20 years of experience within the life sciences industry.

Prior to Foresight Mr. Fonseca spent 13 years at Phase Forward where he was the Global Sales Director of safety and data warehousing portfolio, which included safety system applications, signal detection, and analytics. During his tenure he also was the global sales lead on strategic enterprise accounts selling both safety and clinical software and services. He has held Enterprise Sales roles at Oracle and was the North American Sales Director at MyMeds&Me selling direct capture Patient and Health Care Professional solutions.

Mr. Fonseca received his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering Technology from the University of Massachusetts.
 Stroud Dr. Eric Stroud is a Vice President and Global Head of Quality for Foresight with over 20 years of experience, and over 11 years of experience within the life sciences industry.

Dr. Stroud has been working with Foresight Group for almost as long as the company has been in existence, and has worked on many internal projects, including the creation of Foresight’s Quality Management System and Training program.  Eric has been involved in a number of safety data migrations and database implementations, and has led Foresight through over 19 successful vendor audits. Prior to joining Foresight, Eric was an active consultant in both the GMP and GLP industries since 1995, and successfully brought one medical device and five formulations from the laboratory to production. He is an inventor and is listed on a number of patents (pending and granted). Eric has supported ISO, CE Mark certifications, and supported FDA and EMA audits at other clients.

Dr. Stroud possesses an impressive education background, including: Ph.D. Organic Chemistry, Seton Hall University; MS Environmental Engineering, New Jersey Institute of Technology; and BS Chemical Engineering, New Jersey Institute of Technology.
Julie Ms. Julie Fragassi is a Director and Global Head of Worldwide Recruiting and Human Resources with over 22 years of HR and Recruiting experience. The last 14 years have been within life sciences.

Ms. Fragassi develops and executes HR processes that are aligned with global strategies to attract, develop, and retain the breadth and depth of talent needed to enable Foresight Group to execute and innovate against its aggressive goals and growth plans. Prior to Foresight Group, Ms. Fragassi held lead Recruitment positions at professional services companies including iGate Patni, Taratec Development Corporation, Cysive and IMI Systems.

Ms. Fragassi holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Southern Illinois University.


Mr. Andrew Donaldson is a Partner at Foresight Group with over 25 years of experience providing process, technology, and organizational improvements services spanning Life Sciences, Technology, Communications and Aerospace Industries.  During the last ten years Mr. Donaldson has worked exclusively in Life Sciences within the Drug Safety, Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs and Clinical domains.

Mr. Donaldson is experienced in the project management and delivery of technology and business focused projects to deliver tangible business benefits to his clients. He successfully managed several large scale process improvement and safety system implementation projects in Europe and the US.

Mr. Donaldson speaks English and French. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems from Western Carolina University and an MBA from the Henley Management College, Oxford, England.

Updesh Dosanjh, Director

Mr. Updesh Dosanjh is a Partner with over 20 years of knowledge and experience in the management, development, implementation, and operation of processes and systems within the life sciences industry as well as other industries.  He has worked in the Drug Safety area for over 8 years.

Prior to joining Foresight Group Mr. Dosanjh was a Senior Managing Consultant for WCI and worked for Logistics Consulting Partners, Amersys Systems Limited and FJ Systems.

Mr. Dosanjh earned a Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science from Manchester University and a Master’s degree in Advanced Manufacturing Systems and Technology from Liverpool University.

Pravin Nath, Partner & Managing Director, India

Mr. Pravin Nath is a Director and Managing Director of Foresight India for Foresight Group with over 15 years of experience in the life sciences industry.

Prior to joining the Foresight Group, Mr. Nath was the Country Manager at Relsys India, where he was in-charge of setting up and managing the India-based delivery center of Relsys International Inc.  He led Product Engineering and Professional Services, as well as support of the Argus suite of products including Argus Safety, Argus Insight, Argus Perceptive, and Argus Interchange.

Mr. Nath holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the International Management Institute and a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology.

Sandeep Maan, Partner

Mr. Sandeep Maan is a Partner at Foresight Group based in Noida, India, with 15 years of experience, 10 years within drug safety. Mr. Maan specializes in the development, implementation, integration, and operation of systems within the drug safety industry. He has unique experience implementing reporting solutions against Argus/Argus J and Aris Global safety systems using Cognos, Business Objects and OBIEE.

Prior to Foresight, Mr. Maan worked at Relsys India for five years as a Senior Technical Lead. He worked extensively on Argus Insight, Argus Console, and Argus Perceptive product line and has deep understanding of these systems.

Mr. Maan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Delhi College of Engineering, Delhi.

Saurabh Khurana, Partner

Mr. Saurabh Khurana is a Partner at Foresight Group based in Noida, India, with over 11 years of experience in drug safety. Mr. Khurana specializes in the development, implementation, integration, and operation of systems within the drug safety industry. He has unique experience and implementation skills for the Argus Safety Suite, including Argus J, and has done extensive work on very large data migrations from Global and Japanese data sources.

Prior to Foresight, Mr. Khurana worked at Relsys India and United States as an Application Architect. He led the product architecture of Argus Safety 4.2+ and 5.x product versions.

Mr. Khurana holds Bachelor of Technology and Master of Technology degrees in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology in New Delhi.
 Yamaya Dr. Jun Yamaya is President of Foresight Group Japan G.K.  Dr. Yamaya has over 31 years of life sciences experience, with over 18 years in pharmaceuticals.

Dr. Yamaya was previously the Director of PV Operations at Kyowa Hakko Kirin Company in Tokyo Japan and led the establishment of the global PV organization for Kyowa Hakko Kirin. Prior to this position, Dr. Yamaya played leading roles within the various functions of Kyowa Hakko Kirin and Kirin Pharama, including Director of Bio Process R&D Laboratories, General Manager of Regulatory Auditing, and General Manager of Overseas Clinical Development. He also served as the President of Gemini Science, Inc., a wholly owned US subsidiary of Kirin located in San Diego, CA. 

Dr. Yamaya earned his Master of Science and Ph. D. in Molecular Biology from the University of Tokyo and an Executive MBA from San Diego State University.
IMG_4613 (00000003) Hisayoshi (Charlie) Kinemura is a Senior Vice President, SME on Argus Safety Japan.

While at Relsys as a Product Manager, Charlie designed and led the development to introduce Argus Safety Japan, which is now widely used by a large number of Japanese Pharma companies. He continued his product strategy work through Oracle for multiple releases of Argus J, and also led Oracle’s Japanese life science product strategy as Director. During his work at Oracle as well as his previous position as Vice President, Japan at RxLogix Corporation, he led numerous Argus and Argus J projects for multiple clients.

Charlie holds an Engineer’s degree in Computer Science from San Diego State University as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Toyo University, Japan.
